Believe it or not theres only 6 weeks left in the school year— time flies when you're having fun! Sadly, I only just realized that I've been neglecting my Blog this year terribly. I'm still teaching Graphics 1 through 3, but this year I got some extra classes added on my schedule including Art 1 and Ceramics at SHHS.

It's been really rewarding to get back to working 3-dimensionally and getting the chance to teach students skills when working with clay like hand-building and throwing on the wheel. Students have created pinch pot vessels, slab-constructed boxes, coiled mugs, wheel-thrown bowls and cups, and are currently working on sgrafitto vases. I hope I get to teach this course again!

The only downside to teaching this course is that it's SO popular that there are 3 sections of Ceramics 1! With that being said, things don't always come out of the kiln quickly so I'll be sure to add more photos of student work once I have some more glazed pieces. I can't wait to share their work because their so good!
